About Kanha National Park
Kanha National Park lies 940 square kms. south-east of Jabalpur in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The park is a known Tiger Reserve and has Wild-life attractions like tiger, bison, gaur, sambhar, chital, barasingha, barking deer, black deer, black buck, chousingha, nilgai, mouse deer, sloth bear, jackal fox, porcupine, hyena, jungle cat, python, pea fowl, hare, monkey, mongoose, tiger, and leopard. Wildlife at Kanha also has some 200 species of birds which include storks, teals, pintails, peacock, ring doves, pond herons etc.
